F1 is in Sochi

Formula-1 is in Sochi for today's Grand Prix, the Russian weather was unstable yesterday, but it might bring some good surprise results.

Last year in Russian GP 2020

Bottas won the race with Verstappen in 2nd and Hamilton in 3rd. The British driver did not win his 91st GP, so the record of Michael Schumacher was is still not match at that time, with the 10 seconds penalty, due to the irregular grid start practice, Lewis was unable to fight for the first positions.

Peréz did a great job finishing in 4th, the Mexican driver was consistent enough, finishing just ahead of Riccardo in 5th, also a good performance from the Australian.

An expected good performance from Leclerc, who finished in 6th, just ahead of Esteban Ocon from Renault in 7th.

The Russian driver Daniil Kvyatt in his home GP finished in 8th position, ahead of his team mate Pierre Gasly in 9th, completing the top 10, Alex Albon in 10th.

Big crash on the first lap, with Carlos Sainz hitting the wall, the Spanish driver was unable to avoid it, causing the entrance of the Safety car to clean the track, also because Lance Stroll from the Racing Point crashed as well a bit after Sainz in lap 1 as well.

What to expect from the Russian GP 2021?

Lando Norris will start in the pole, amazing performance from the McLaren driver, at his side will be Carlos Sainz, the ex-team mate, will start for his first time in the front row, also a great job for the Ferrari driver, and in third will start George Russell, the Williams driver was again a nice surprise, so we are going to have those three constructors in the top 3 positions, what does happen since Brazil 2004, incredible.

Hamilton will start in fourth, the Mercedes driver didn't have a good qualifying, smashing the wall at the entrance of the pit lane, when was about to change his tires from Intermediate to Slicks, so it will be a good fight for the British driver.

In fifth will start Ricciardo, next will be Alonso with his Alpine in sixth, then Bottas and Stroll, in seventh and eighth, completing the top 10 will be Peréz and Ocon, ninth and tenth.

Verstappen, who changed his power unit will start in the last position in twentieth, due to a grid penalty, so it will be hard race for the Dutch driver, trying to escalated the field and get some valuable points in this race.

Well, if it does not rain like this last Saturday, we will probably see the Mercedes strong as usual, they always dominated this track and it will be nice to see the Red Bulls fight for better positions, the McLarens and Ferraris might have a good fight too, between Lando and Carlos.

We hope to see a good race in Russia, please, see the highlight for the Qualifying on the link below.
