Back to Monte Carlo

Formula-1 is back to Monte Carlo for today's race, last year due to the Pandemic caused by the Covid-19, the race was cancelled, it is the most iconic area from Monaco and certainly one of the most famous and glamorous race of the Season.

Last Race in Monaco 2019

Hamilton won the Monaco GP, suffering with the tyres and being hunted by Verstappen at the end of the race, who got a 5 seconds penalty due to a collision with the British driver and ended up in 4th, just behind Valtteri Bottas in 3rd.

Incredibly Sebastian Vettel finished in 2nd on that race, doing a great job.

Charles Leclerc finished in 5th, so the Ferraris were strong that race in particular, which does not need much downforce, so the engine is not the most important.

Pierre Gasly got the consolation the 1 point for the 2019 DHL Fastest Lap Award usually the French driver goes well in the Monte Carlo streets, finishing in 6th.

Carlos Sainz also very consistent, finished in 7th, ahead of Kevin Magnussen in 8th, Sergio Perez in 9th and Kimi Raikkonen in 10th.

What to expect from Monaco GP 2021?

Charles Leclerc got the Pole, doing a great lap, but also crashing his car at the end, not letting anybody to improve their times, so the home driver have a great chance today at the race, the Ferraris look strong, with Carlos Sainz starting at fourth.

Verstappen, one of the champions contenders for this year, will start in second, much ahead of Lewis Hamilton that will start in seventh, the British driver had difficulties to make a good time during the Qualify, his team mate Bottas will start in fourth, just behind the Dutch driver.

Lando Norris with his McLaren, doing great, will start in fifth, ahead of Pierre Gasly, great performance, in sixth, in eighth will be Vettel, just next to Hamilton.

Ninth will be Sergio Perez from Red Bull and in tenth Giovanazzi, the Italian driver from Alfa Romeo did very well, going to the Q3.

Well, I would say that this could be an amazing race, but that will not be true, as the race in Monaco is very narrow and difficult to pass through, so it is good to see the Ferraris ahead and the result can be mostly changed by other factors, for example, boxes strategies or rain in the race.

We hope to have a good race in Monaco.
